My hope in creating this page is to provide both veteran & newbie homeschool families encouragement, resources, help and support. On this page it is my goal to share tips and insights I've gleaned from my experiences homeschooling over the past 6 1/2 years & real life struggles & successes in our homeschool journey. It is a bit of a learning curve if you are just jumping into homeschooling and I hope to give you a safe landing place & to help you ease into this phase of your school years.

Shredded Chicken & Cheese English Muffin Breakfast Bake

HI Friends, Happy Holidays!! This year for our Christmas morning brunch I tried out this new recipe and it was a huge hit with the fam so I just had to share it with you :) I'm loving that this recipe can be made ahead of time (which is great for a holiday meal) and stored overnight in the fridge to save prep time the day you intend to bake it. Fun extracurricular activity ideas & learning opportunities to add to your home-school plans

Hello again friends, In my last post I shared a list of over 170 field trip ideas to help get your creative juices running and thought today I would share a list of some of our favorite extracurricular activities, life lessons and fun learning opportunities that we have incorporated into our school life over the past 6 1/2 years. I'm also including a fun list of things you may enjoy or want to try for the holidays. Especially since this year has been so different than every other year (thanks to Covid-19) I think it could be a really great year to find some new activities or traditions to try with our family and hope you might find some fun ones you want to try as well. obviously not all of these will be available in every area or at all this year due to everything surrounding the corona virus craziness in our country. Duel Enrollment programs, what are they and how do they work

Hello friends, One of the questions I've received most often over the past year is what is duel enrollment and how does it work. Ever since we decided our daughter would participate in the program we have had many questions from family and friends. Mainly out of intrigue and interest, but I’m sure some curiosity about what the program is and how it works ;) As most of our friends and family know, our daughter began her first year as a duel enrolled student at the beginning of this school year. She is both a junior in high school & enrolled as a freshmen at our local community college. The program she is enrolled in allows her to simultaneously earn both her high school credits and a years worth of college credits while she completes prerequisites at the community college. Depending on your child's interests and level of commitment to the program it is possible for a student that is enrolled to graduate high school & receive an AA degree at the same time. ...
