My hope in creating this page is to provide both veteran & newbie homeschool families encouragement, resources, help and support. On this page it is my goal to share tips and insights I've gleaned from my experiences homeschooling over the past 6 1/2 years & real life struggles & successes in our homeschool journey. It is a bit of a learning curve if you are just jumping into homeschooling and I hope to give you a safe landing place & to help you ease into this phase of your school years.

Fun extracurricular activity ideas & learning opportunities to add to your home-school plans

Hello again friends, In my last post I shared a list of over 170 field trip ideas to help get your creative juices running and thought today I would share a list of some of our favorite extracurricular activities, life lessons and fun learning opportunities that we have incorporated into our school life over the past 6 1/2 years. I'm also including a fun list of things you may enjoy or want to try for the holidays. Especially since this year has been so different than every other year (thanks to Covid-19) I think it could be a really great year to find some new activities or traditions to try with our family and hope you might find some fun ones you want to try as well. obviously not all of these will be available in every area or at all this year due to everything surrounding the corona virus craziness in our country. Charter School Distance Learning programs (for homeschoolers), what are they and how do they benefit your kids?

Over the years I've had many families ask what we are doing for our homeschool and how we afford so many field trips & have access to so many opportunities. Like many of you they have been curious to find out what my "secret" is and how they can have it to. It's not so much a secret as most homeschool families we know participate in one of these programs, but if you've been out of the loop & don't know what a DLP or a charter school dlp is, it can feel like a huge secret that you've been missing out on.
